Garden Design and Photography by CT NOFA

Location: The Green Spot, 354 Litchfield Road, New Milford, CT 06776

Lucy Van Liew, APLD, will present how to design, install, and manage attractive, practical organic landscapes.  She will offer a lecture and a design charrette to help attendees understand both the underlying principles of garden design and offer practices in applying these to a residential site.

The workshop will break for a tour of The Green Spot's quaint and organic nursery in New Milford, CT and a light lunch where students can socialize and network.

Karen Bussolini will share her talk, Bringing It All Home: Garden Photography, Garden Making, and the Art of Seeing, during the afternoon session.  "There is nothing like looking through the viewfinder of a camera to tell you whether a garden composition works or not." Karen will share her process for making meaningful photographs and gardens - setting an intention, paying attention to framing the scene, studying mass, light, composition and point of view.

$125 - Includes lunch
