Litchfield County Farm Bureau invites you to a presentation on The History of the Animal Rights/Welfare Movement featuring Michael J. Darre, Ph.D. P.A.S. Professor and Extension Poultry Specialists at UConn's Department of Animcal Science. 

Dr. Darre explains the difference between animal rights and welfare, some of the major organizations involved, what the current issues are, what animal agriculture can do or should do, what the Animal Ag Alliance is all about and causes of welfare problems and how to prevent them.
